Applications are open for Jet2’s attractive Future Second Officer programme

Jet2 operate a mixed fleet of Boeing 737, Boeing 757 and Airbus A321 aircraft

With the recent launch of its Future Second Officer programme, Jet2 continues to be one of the most attractive airlines for cadet pilots - and one that pilots tend to stay with long-term.

This programme replaces and builds upon the Jet2’s previous Pilot Apprentice Scheme.

In the airline’s own words… “Your hard work and dedication has paid off and you've achieved your Frozen ATPL. Our Future Second Officer Programme is about supporting you in taking the next step in your flying career. Once complete you will join a fully-funded type rating course as a Second Officer on one of our Airbus or Boeing jets.”

The fully-funded type rating course has obvious appeal - especially for those without the funds to pay upfront type rating fees - but other factors which draw cadet pilots to Jet2 are the company’s culture, its financial track record, two-sector days and wide range of UK bases.
